Regular Season Round 20: SW Slammers - Warwick S. 55-99

Everything went according to plan in Bunbury where seventh ranked Senators (11-7) outleveled bottom-ranked Slammers (0-17) 99-55 on Saturday. Senators dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Slammers' 22. Senators forced 22 Slammers turnovers and outrebounded them 63-31 including a 22-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Karly Murphy (185-1998, college: Colorado St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points, 16 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Mackenzie Clinch-Hoycard (191-1998, college: Hawaii) who added 24 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. Senators' coach Jonelle Morley felt very confident using 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Alexis Donovan responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and Kate Williams scored 12 points. Senators have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Mandurah M. Loser Slammers still closes the standings with 17 games lost. Senators will meet Lightning (#8) in the next round. Slammers will play against Redbacks (#12) in Northbridge and hope to get finally their first victory.
