Not a big story in a game when 7th ranked Rollers (10-8) lost to second ranked Thunder (15-4) in Gold Coast 66-75 on Friday. Thunder outrebounded Rollers 50-35 including a 36-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Forward Mikaela Ruef (191-1990, college: Stanford) nailed a double-double by scoring 31 points, 22 rebounds and 8 assists for the winning side and New Zealand swingman Chevannah Paalvast (181-1991, college: Monmouth) accounted for 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard Ariana Moorer (172-1991, college: Virginia) came up with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 14 rebounds and 6 assists and Catherine Reese added 11 points respectively for Rollers in the defeat. Rollers' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the eleventh consecutive win for Thunder. They maintain second place with 15-4 record having eight points less than leader Wyndham D. Loser Rollers dropped to the fourth position with eight games lost. They share it with 3 other teams.
