Regular Season Round 21: SC Phoenix - NGC Seahawks 84-72

There was an upset when higher ranked Seahawks (9-10) lost to fourteenth ranked Sunshine CP (6-13) in Cotton Tree 72-84 on Friday. Sunshine CP looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American forward Alex Wittinger (185-1997, college: Illinois) nailed 28 points and 9 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) for the winning side and the former international Kathleen Macleod (167-1986) accounted for 18 points and 11 assists. American power forward Erin Riley (180, college: Keiser) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and the other American import guard Alexa Held (178-1999, college: DePaul) added 22 points respectively for Seahawks in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Sunshine CP. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Sunbury J. Seahawks lost their third game in a row. They keep the tenth position with ten games lost. They share it with Canberra N.. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
