Everything went according to plan in Penrith where fifth ranked Norths Soul Sports Bears (14-6) outscored 15th ranked Panthers (3-17) 108-80 on Saturday. Norths Soul Sports Bears dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Panthers' 36 and made 26-of-34 free shots (76.5 percent) during the game. Norths Soul Sports Bears forced 21 Panthers turnovers and outrebounded them 57-34 including a 38-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Norths Soul Sports Bears looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American swingman Lewis Holey (196-1994, college: St.Francis, IL) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 17 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Center Nathaniel Musters (208-1993, college: Lafayette) chipped in 12 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Norths Soul Sports Bears' coach Angus Bourke felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Tomas Ramos who recorded 16 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 blocks and forward Brodie Schwarzer (195-2004) added 17 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Five Norths Soul Sports Bears and four Panthers players scored in double figures. Norths Soul Sports Bears moved-up to fourth place. Panthers lost their tenth game in a row. They keep the fifteenth position with 17 games lost. Norths Soul Sports Bears will meet league's second-placed Bulls in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
