Big V top team - Devils (17-4) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed tenth ranked Steelers (2-19) in Western Port 101-81. Devils players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. The winners were led by American point guard Maurice Howard (185-1997, college: Alcorn St., agency: Green Sports Management) who scored that evening 34 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 7 assists and guard Oskar Jones supported him with 20 points and 4 assists. Howard is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Devils' coach Maurice Howard allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 26 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists by naturalized British guard Daryl Corletto (193-1981) did not help to save the game for Steelers. American center Russell Permenter (203-1988, college: Providence) added 12 points and 20 rebounds. Four Steelers players scored in double figures. Devils have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 17-4 record. Steelers lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with 19 games lost.
