No shocking result in a game when third ranked Queens (6-6) beat on the road bottom-ranked Pouakai (2-10) 96-84 on Thursday. Queens made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. The winners were led by the former international guard Stella Beck (183-1995, college: SMC) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds and American guard Chrislyn Carr (165, college: Louisville) supported her with 27 points (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Even a double-double of 10 points, 9 rebounds and 17 assists by British guard Kennedy Leonard (173-1996, college: Colorado, agency: LBM Management) did not help to save the game for Pouakai. The former international forward Esra McGoldrick (188-1999, college: NC State) added 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the hosts. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion maintains third position with 6-6 record having just three points less than leader N. Kahu, which they share with Whai. Pouakai lost fifth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with ten games lost.
