An interesting game for Kahu (9-3) which hosted in 3rd ranked Whai (6-6). First ranked Kahu managed to get a 11-point victory 99-88. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Whai. They outrebounded Whai 44-28 including a 33-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winners were led by Australian forward Tess Madgen (183-1990) who scored that evening 37 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 6 assists and American forward Iimari Thomas (178-2000, college: UCLA) supported her with 28 points and 10 rebounds. Four Kahu players scored in double figures. Even 32 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals by American forward Mikayla Cowling (188-1996, college: California, agency: LBM Management) did not help to save the game for Whai. Guard McKenna Dale (183-1999, college: Virginia) added 33 points (!!!) for the guests. Kahu have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 9-3 record. Loser Whai keeps the third place with six games lost. They share the position with Tokomanawa Q..
