Regular Season Round 3: Perth - Melbourne 81-88

United (4-1) added another victory to their record on Friday. This time they beat Perth Wildcats (2-3) 88-81. United made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Chris Goulding (192-1988) who scored 18 points. American guard Ian Clark (190-1991, college: Belmont) chipped in 18 points. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international power forward Keanu Pinder (210-1995, college: Arizona) who recorded 25 points and 7 rebounds and American Jordan Usher (201-1998, college: Georgia Tech) added 20 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. United will meet at home New Zealand Breakers (#8) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Perth Wildcats will play against Adelaide 36ers in Findon and hope to secure a win.
