Regular Season Round 3: Melbourne T. - Dandenong R. 103-75

Date: April 4, 2024
Rather predictable result when Tigers (1-0) rolled over Rangers (1-1) in Melbourne 103-75 on Thursday. Melbourne T. looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for the former international swingman Jade Melbourne (176-2002, college: Arizona St.) who led the winners and scored 17 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Swingman Samantha Simons (188-2000, college: SMC) accounted for 24 points for the winning side. Imogen Rock came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and Manuela Puoch added 23 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Dandenong R. in the defeat. Five Melbourne T. and four Dandenong R. players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tigers will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Rangers will play against Casey (#12) in Cranbourne and hope to win that game.
