Everything could happen in Canberra at the game between two tied teams. Both eleventh ranked Nationals and 10th ranked Bruins had identical 2-3 record. This time Nationals used a home court advantage and smashed the opponent from Condell Park 99-80 on Sunday night. Canberra N. looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. The best player for the winners was Lizzy Tonks who scored 35 points (!!!), 8 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals. Guard Callie Bourne (175, college: Idaho St.) chipped in 12 points and 9 assists. Four Nationals players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Violet Morrow (176-1997, college: EWU, agency: IceBasket) who recorded a double-double by scoring 40 points (!!!), 14 rebounds and 4 assists and Samoan center Azaleeah Oloapu (180-2006) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Canberra N. (3-3) moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 5 other teams. Loser Bruins dropped to the eleventh position with four games lost. They share it with Ballarat M. and Diamond VE. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
