Very important is a road loss of second rankedCougars (4-2) against fourth ranked Cougars (5-2) on Saturday night. Visiting Cougars were defeated by Cougars in Keysborough 95-77 . It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Cougars. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Keysborough outrebounded McKinnon 65-47 including a 31-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. American forward Gerrard Newby (196-1995, college: Union, KY) nailed a double-double by scoring 29 points and 23 rebounds for the winning side and his fellow American import point guard Anthony Williams (178-1995, college: Clark Atlanta) accounted for 12 points and 5 rebounds. Williams is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. Four Cougars players scored in double figures. American guard Adam Anderson (193, college: St.Rose, NY) came up with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Mitchell Barry (190) added 6 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for McKinnon in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Keysborough moved-up to second place. McKinnon at the other side dropped to the third position with two games lost. They share it with 3 other teams.
