There was a surprise result when fourteenth rankedBendigo Braves (4-6) beat at home higher ranked Frankston Blues (5-4) 90-79 on Saturday. Bendigo forced 24 Frankston B. turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American swingman Andrew Robinson (201-1996, college: Coppin St.) stepped up and scored 23 points for the winners and guard Mitchell Clarke (186-1999) chipped in 16 points, 5 assists and 5 steals. The best for the losing side was Bradley Newley with 18 points and 8 rebounds and forward Thomas Garrett (-2000, college: MSU Denver) scored 21 points and 5 steals (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line).
