Undefeated leaderLady Bandits delivered the ninth consecutive victory. This time they crushed 14th ranked Panthers (2-7) 117-59 in Penrith. Albury held Penrith to an opponent 24.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 55.3 percent accuracy of the winners and made 20-of-25 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Albury outrebounded Penrith 48-29 including a 37-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Albury players were unselfish on offense dishing 32 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Penrith 's players. They brought some defensive toughness making 9 blocks. Penrith was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for the former international power forward Lauren Jackson (196-1981) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 11 rebounds and 5 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). American guard Mikayla Pivec (178-1997, college: Oregon St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 8 rebounds and 11 assists for the winners. Five Lady Bandits players scored in double figures. American-Swiss forward Mia Heide (190-2000, college: Duke) answered with 20 points and 7 rebounds and naturalized New Zealand guard Tahlia Tupaea (175-1997) added 16 points and 5 assists in the effort for Penrith. Panthers' coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the ninth consecutive win for Lady Bandits . Albury maintains first place with 9-0 record, which they share with Rockingham F. Penrith at the other side dropped to the eighth position with seven games lost. They share it with 4 other teams.
