Not a big story in a game when 8th rankedGators (4-6) were outscored by second ranked Cougars (8-2) in Keysborough 106-75 on Saturday. Keysborough shot 62.5 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 53.6 percentage. Keysborough looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 18 passes made by Shepparton 's players. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Anthony Williams (178-1995, college: Clark Atlanta) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 7 rebounds and 18 assists. His fellow American import forward Gerrard Newby (196-1995, college: Union, KY) accounted for 25 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Williams is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. Four Cougars players scored in double figures. Canadian swingman Jayden Coke (199, college: Academy of Art, agency: Starting 5) came up with 20 points and Joshua Kooiman added 12 points respectively for Shepparton in the defeat. Gators' coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Cougars have a solid series of four victories in a row. Keysborough maintains second place with 8-2 record having just one point less than leader Collingwood. Loser Gators keeps the eighth position with six games lost.
