Everything went according to plan when leaderMackay Meteors (5-0) outleveled at home 14th ranked Northside Wizards (2-7) 109-83 on Saturday. Mackay dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Northside Wizards 's 42. Mackay looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for the former international swingman Todd Blanchfield (198-1991) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Isaac White (188-1998, college: CBU) helped adding 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Mackay Meteors' coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Jamie Ahale (196-1999, college: UIC) responded with 25 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Mitchell Poulain (-1998) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Four Northside W. players scored in double figures. Mackay Meteors have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 5-0 record. Northside W. lost seventh consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with seven games lost. They share it with N.Adelaide R. and Diamond V.E..
