Very expected game in Hermit Park where 13th rankedTownsville Heat (2-6) was defeated by third ranked Thunder (6-2) 93-85 on Friday. Logan T. made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Guard Zac Triplett (196-2001, college: Portland) fired a double-double by scoring 24 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Guard Shaun Bruce (190-1991) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points, 5 rebounds and 12 assists. Guard Ethan Betts (188-1998, college: Umpqua CC) produced 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Harry Morris (198-2002) added 19 points respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Thunder .
