There was no surprise in Bellarine where 8th rankedCougars (3-7) were defeated by second ranked Storm (8-2) 70-66 on Saturday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Bellarine made 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of Georgia Varley who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 4 assists and American forward Bridgette Rettstatt (188-1998, college: Liberty) who added 7 points and 17 rebounds during the contest. American center ALexxus Davis (188-1996, college: USC Upstate) responded with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 18 rebounds and Emily Maltezos scored 8 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Cougars' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Storm have a solid three-game winning streak.
