Not a big story in a game in Condell Park where 13th rankedCrusaders (3-8) were defeated by eighth ranked Bankstown Bruins (7-5) 87-81 on Sunday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Bankstown B. made 24-of-30 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Bankstown B. made 7 blocks. It was a great evening for American forward Naaman Hightower (201-1994, college: Sonoma St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. His fellow American import guard Andre Wolford (188-1996, college: SFU, agency: One Motive Sports) helped adding 29 points (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). Hightower is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. The best for the losing side was Canadian forward Ben Stevens (207-1999, college: Laurier) with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds and forward James Trustum (197-1992) scored 19 points and 7 rebounds. Crusaders' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Bankstown B. moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Rockingham F. and Norths B. Cent.Coast C. lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with eight games lost.
