There was a surprise result when seventh rankedFlames (4-9) edged higher ranked Eagles (9-4) in Marden 65-64 on Sunday. American forward Emily Saunders (196-2001, college: YSU) notched a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds to lead the effort and New Zealand swingman Eva Langton (185-1999, college: TAMIU) supported her with 7 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. Even a double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds by Madison Freer did not help to save the game for Forestville E. . Jess Simons added 12 points for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Norwood F. maintains seventh position with 4-9 record, which they share with W.Adelaide B. Loser Eagles keeps the third place with four games lost. They share the position with Sturt S. and NGC Seahawks.
