There was a minor upset when 13th rankedMustangs (4-10) lost to fifteenth ranked Panthers (4-11) in Penrith 72-77 on Sunday. Penrith made 30-of-37 free shots (81.1 percent) during the game. Penrith outrebounded Maitland 45-33 including 32 on the defensive glass. Naturalized New Zealand guard Tahlia Tupaea (175-1997) notched 37 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and American-Swiss forward Mia Heide (190-2000, college: Duke) supported her with 13 points and 14 rebounds. Panthers' coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Even a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds by American forward Sydney Hunter (183-1999, college: San Diego) did not help to save the game for Maitland . Forward Shakera Reilly (178-1999) added 10 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for lost side. Four Maitland players scored in double figures. Penrith moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with 4 other teams. Maitland lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with ten games lost.
