Regular Season Round 43: Ballarat M. - Casey C. 94-61

Everything went according to plan in Wendouree where fifth ranked Ballarat Miners (14-7) outleveled 18th ranked Cavaliers (4-17) 94-61 on Sunday. Ballarat M. looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for the former international forward Chloe Bibby (185-1998, college: Maryland) who led her team to a victory scoring 26 points. The former international guard Abigail Wehrung (177-1995) helped adding 18 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Ballarat Miners players scored in double figures. At the losing side Alexandra Wittinger responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds and New Zealand guard Lauryn Hippolite (174-2000) scored 11 points and 7 assists. Ballarat Miners have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. Ballarat M. moved-up to fourth place. Casey lost seventh consecutive game. They dropped to the nineteenth position with 17 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
