Ballarat Miners outrebounded Wildcats 37-24 including 25 on the defensive glass. Ballarat Miners looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The former international forward Chloe Bibby (185-1998, college: Maryland) nailed a double-double by scoring 26 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of her eight free throws) for the winning side and the former international guard Abigail Wehrung (177-1995) accounted for 21 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Ballarat Miners players scored in double figures. Ballarat Miners' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Lily Scanlon (175-2001, college: Gonzaga) came up with 29 points and 5 assists and American swingman Hailey Leidel (180-1997, college: UMass) added 18 points respectively for Wildcats in the defeat.
