The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Devils in Werribee. Hosts were defeated by Jets 64-54. Jets forced 21 Devils turnovers. Irish guard Orla OReilly (182-90, college: Binghamton) notched 25 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and Tess Barnes supported her with 15 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Even 21 points and 5 rebounds by Nicola Handreck did not help to save the game for Devils. Jamilee Pearce added 13 points and 11 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) for the hosts. Devils' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Jets will play against Hume City Broncos in Tullamarine in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Devils will play on the road against Thunder in Melbourne and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
