Regular Season Round 4: Woodville W. - Norwood F. 75-79

Date: April 10, 2021
Everything could happen in Flinders Park at the game between two tied teams. Both top-ranked Flames and bottom-ranked Warriors had identical 0-0 record. But Warriors were not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Marden 79-75 on Saturday night. Flames outrebounded Warriors 47-33 including a 21-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. Quite impressive performance for Genna Anderson who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds. Georgie Garrard contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Flames' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Emily Winter replied with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 14 rebounds and Chloe Purvis added 17 points and 4 assists in the effort for Warriors. Flames (1-0) left bottom position moving up to second place in League. Loser Warriors still closes the standings with one game lost. Flames will face league's leader Eagles in Goodwood in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Warriors will play on the road against Rockets (#8) in Adelaide and look forward to get finally their first victory.
