Regular Season Round 4: S.Peninsula - McKinnon C. 40-77
Date: April 10, 2021
There was a small surprise when sixth ranked Cougars (2-1) crushed one of their biggest challengers Sharks (2-2) in Dromana 77-40 on Saturday. Cougars forced 25 Sharks turnovers and outrebounded them 43-29 including 34 on the defensive glass. It was a very good performance for center Rosie Fadljevic (183-93) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Amelia Todhunter (166-88) contributed with 19 points and 8 steals for the winners. Tanarly Hood replied with 13 points and 5 assists and Ashleigh Wright added 11 points and 4 steals in the effort for Sharks. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Cougars moved-up to fourth place in League. Loser Sharks dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
