Regular Season Round 10: Bendigo LB - Dandenong R. 84-56

Very predictable result when fifth ranked Lady Braves (4-1) rolled over 11th ranked Rangers (2-3) in Bendigo 84-56 on Sunday. Lady Braves dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Rangers' 30. They outrebounded Rangers 50-24 including a 37-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Lady Braves looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Rangers' players. It was a very good performance for the former international forward Tess Madgen (180-90) who helped to win the game recording 43 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 9 assists. Forward Kate Oliver (193-91, college: USC) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Lady Braves had such big advantage that coach felt comfortable to give the chance to play for 10 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. American forward Emilee Harmon (189, college: Ohio St.) replied with 15 points and 7 rebounds and Dallas Loughbridge added 17 points and 5 steals in the effort for Rangers. Lady Braves moved-up to fourth place in League. Loser Rangers dropped to the thirteenth position with three games lost. Lady Braves will have a break next round. Rangers will play on the road against Spectres (#8) in East Burwood and hope to win that game.
