Rather predictable result when top-ranked Sharks (4-0) rolled over 7th ranked Hawks (1-2) in Sutherland 91-42 on Saturday. Sharks held Hawks to an opponent 21.5 percent shooting from the field compared to 51.4 percent accuracy of the winners. Sharks forced 22 Hawks turnovers and outrebounded them 59-29 including a 44-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Hawks' players. Quite impressive performance for forward Courtney West (193, college: Portland St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds. Madeleine Norris contributed with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Sharks players scored in double figures. Ella Dent replied with 7 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Maddison Delaney added 13 points in the effort for Hawks. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sharks keep a position of League leader. Loser Hawks dropped to the eighth place with two games lost. Sharks will face North Bears (#6) in Crows Nest in the next round where they are favorite.
