The game between closely ranked teams ended with bottom-ranked Tigers' (0-1) road loss to seventh ranked Flames (2-1) in Rockingham 72-85 on Saturday. Flames looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Quite impressive performance for guard Tayah Burrows (179-1) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 4 assists. Jorjah Smith (173) contributed with 20 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Flames players scored in double figures. Flames' coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Guard Alexandra Sharp (185-97, college: Wake Forest) replied with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Samantha Lubcke (188-96, college: Utah Valley) added 16 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Tigers. Flames moved-up to second place in League. Loser Tigers still closes the standings with one game lost. Flames will face Slammers (#12) in Bunbury in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
