Regular Season Round 3: Bulls - Sharks 82-73

There was no surprise in Pukekohe where Sharks (3-3) were defeated by Bulls (3-2) 82-73 on Friday. Strangely Sharks outrebounded Bulls 48-30 including a 17-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American forward Zane Waterman (203-95, college: Manhattan) who scored 31 points and 9 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Guard Joseph Nunag (183-97) chipped in 17 points. At the other side the best for losing team was Dominique Kelman-Poto (201-94, college: Adelphi) who recorded a double-double by scoring 25 points and 15 rebounds and American forward Josh Cunningham (203-96, college: Dayton) added 15 points and 12 rebounds respectively. Four Sharks players scored in double figures. Sharks' coach Rob Beveridge tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Bulls will face Rams (#7) in Christchurch in the next round. Sharks will play at home against Giants and hope to win that game.
