There was a surprise result when fourteenth ranked Geelong Supercats (2-4) won against at home higher ranked Tigers (5-3) 90-82 on Saturday. Geelong Supercats looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was guard Sarah Elsworthy (171-98) who scored 25 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. American guard Alexandra Duck (170-90, college: Murray St.) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Zitina Aokuso (192-98) who recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists and point guard Monique Conti (165-99) added 22 points and 4 assists respectively. Five Geelong Supercats and four Tigers players scored in double figures. Geelong Supercats moved-up to thirteenth place in League. Loser Tigers keep the fifth position with three games lost. Geelong Supercats will face league's leader Frankston Blues in Seaford in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
