Very predictable result in Runcorn where leader Thunder (4-0) defeated 8th ranked Pirates (1-2) 89-81 on Saturday. It was a great evening for forward Mikaela Ruef (190-90, college: Stanford) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 14 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals. Forward Ashley Taia (183, college: Indiana St.) helped adding 24 points. Four Thunder players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Amanda Johnson with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds and American forward Kisha Lee (182-85, college: UNLV) scored 19 points and 8 rebounds. Thunder maintains first place in League with 4-0 record. Loser Pirates dropped to the ninth position with two games lost. Thunder will face Wizards (#10) in Taigum in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
