A very close game took place in Goodwood between Eagles and Bearcats. Fourth ranked Eagles (6-2) got a very close home victory over 5th ranked Bearcats (4-4). Eagles managed to escape with a 1-point win 70-69 on Saturday evening. The best player for the winners was swingman Samantha Simons (188-0, college: St.Mary's, CA) who had a double-double by scoring 31 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks. Brooke Basham chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Jennie Rintala (188-90, college: S.Dakota St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 27 points and 15 rebounds and Sky Langenbrinck (-91) added 21 points respectively. Eagles maintains fourth place in League with 6-2 record. Loser Bearcats dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
