There was no surprise in Brisbane where bottom-ranked Roar (0-3) was outplayed by sixth ranked Sunshine CP (3-1) 73-53 on Saturday. Sunshine CP dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Roar's 26. It was a great evening for the former international Kathleen Macleod (167-86) who led her team to a victory scoring 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Swingman Amy Browne (178-90) helped adding 10 points and 9 rebounds. Sunshine CP's coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was guard Annaliese Watkinson (175, college: Mt.St.Mary's) with 18 points and Jaylen Cooper scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. Sunshine CP moved-up to fifth place in League. Loser Roar still closes the standings with three games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
