Very predictable result in Booval where fourth ranked Sunshine CP (6-1) edged 10th ranked Force (1-5) 72-70 on Friday. Force was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was the former international Kathleen Macleod (167-86) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists. Swingman Amy Browne (178-90) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. Four Sunshine CP players scored in double figures. Georgia Ralph produced 24 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Amy Lewis (175-86, college: Troy) added 18 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for the hosts. Force's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Sunshine CP moved-up to third place in League. Loser Force keeps the tenth position with five games lost. Sunshine CP will face Meteorettes (#5) in Mackay in the next round. Force will play at home against Roar (#13) and hope to win that game.
