Very expected game in Tullamarine where 6th ranked Hume City Broncos (4-6) were rolled over by first ranked Jets (10-1) 91-69 on Saturday. Jets dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Hume City Broncos' 34. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. New Zealand forward Jacinta Beckley (185-95, college: Seattle) stepped up and scored 26 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and Irish guard Orla OReilly (182-90, college: Binghamton) chipped in 14 points and 11 rebounds. Beckley is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The best for the losing side was Sophie Byrnes with 17 points and 5 rebounds and Charlotte Lord scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Jets maintains first place in League with 10-1 record.
