Very expected game in Seaford where bottom-ranked Diamond Valley Eagles (0-10) were defeated by leader Frankston Blues (10-0) 73-55 on Saturday. Frankston Blues looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Diamond Valley Eagles' players. The former international forward Darcee Garbin (187-94) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and forward Saraid Taylor (183-98) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds. The best for the losing side was forward Olivia Bontempelli (179-93) with 10 points and 9 rebounds and power forward Sophie Burrows (184-4) scored 16 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Frankston Blues maintains first place in League with 10-0 record. Loser Diamond Valley Eagles still closes the standings with ten games lost. Frankston Blues will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Diamond Valley Eagles will play against Geelong Supercats (#13) and hope to get finally their first victory.
