Another exciting game was played in Adelaide between fourth ranked Eagles and 5th ranked Rockets where Eagles (8-4) beat Rockets (7-5) on the road 76-68. Eagles dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Rockets' 30. They outrebounded Rockets 48-33 including a 37-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for swingman Samantha Simons (188-0, college: St.Mary's, CA) who led her team to a victory with a triple-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists. Brooke Basham contributed with 26 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Eagles players scored in double figures. Samantha Defrancesco replied with 24 points and 5 rebounds and guard Taylor Ortlepp (178-97, college: Boston Coll.) added 16 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort for Rockets. Eagles maintains fourth position in League with 8-4 record. Rockets at the other side keep the fifth place with five games lost.
