Regular Season Round 11: Giants - Bulls 119-85

The game between closely ranked teams ended with seventh ranked Giants' (6-9) home victory over 8th ranked Bulls (5-12) in Stoke 119-85 on Thursday. Giants forced 19 Bulls turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was an exceptional evening for swingman Sam Dempster (194-90) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds. Forward Nic Trathen (200-97) accounted for 24 points for the winning side. Giants' coach Michael Fitchett felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Power forward Denhym Brooke (203-96, college: Hawaii-Hilo) came up with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and forward Isaac Davidson (201-97, college: Sonoma St.) added 24 points respectively for Bulls in the defeat. Five Giants and four Bulls players scored in double figures. Giants maintains seventh place with 6-9 record. Loser Bulls keep the eighth position with 12 games lost. Giants will meet Jets (#9) in the next round. Bulls will play against the league's leader Saints and will have a slim chance for a victory.
