Not a big story in a game in Mandurah where 10th ranked Magic (4-8) was rolled over by fourth ranked Tigers (8-2) 74-55 on Saturday. Tigers forced 22 Magic turnovers and outrebounded them 49-29 including a 30-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was guard Alexandra Sharp (185-97, college: Wake Forest) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Emma Gandini (170-94) chipped in 18 points and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Carly Boag (188-95, college: Minot St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and guard Casey Mihovilovich (173-82) added 14 points respectively. Both coaches used bench players saving starting five for next games. Tigers moved-up to third place in League. Loser Magic dropped to the eleventh position with eight games lost. Tigers will meet at home Cougars (#6) in the next round. Magic will play against Suns (#10) in Kalamunda and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
