Very expected game in Willetton where 7th ranked Cougars (7-7) were defeated by second ranked Tigers (10-2) 79-64 on Saturday. Tigers forced 22 Cougars turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Forward Samantha Lubcke (188-96, college: Utah Valley) fired 27 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Guard Emma Gandini (170-94) chipped in 12 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. Taylah Simmons (185, college: Southeastern) produced 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and Olivia Bassett-Scarfe added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Tigers maintains second position in League with 10-2 record behind leader Frankston B.
