An interesting game was played in Northbridge where Magic (#8) won against host Redbacks (#4) with 15-point difference 81-66 on Friday evening. Magic forced 20 Redbacks turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Forward Carly Boag (188-95, college: Minot St.) had a double-double by scoring 28 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and guard Casey Mihovilovich (173-82) chipped in 17 points, 11 assists and 4 steals during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward Jessica Jakens (181-94) with 20 points and Raya Thompson scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. Four Redbacks players scored in double figures. Redbacks' coach rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Despite that victory Magic went down to ninth position (League) due to points difference. Loser Redbacks keep the fourth place with seven games lost. Magic will meet at home Lightning (#10) in the next round. Redbacks will play against Cougars (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
