Another exciting game where Canberra Capitals edged by three points Sydney Uni Flames 58-55. Sydney Uni Flames were very close to get their first win. But it seems they have to wait a little bit longer. They outrebounded Sydney Uni Flames 45-33 including 32 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international power forward Kelsey Griffin (188-87, college: Nebraska) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds. American point guard Brittney Sykes (175-94, college: Syracuse) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Canberra Capitals' coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American guard Stephanie Watts (180-97, college: UNC) answered with 16 points and 5 rebounds and international forward Keely Froling (188-96, college: SMU) added 13 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Sydney Uni Flames. Canberra Capitals will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Sydney Uni Flames will play again on the road against Canberra Capitals to get more than just one victory in their record.
