No shocking result in a game when third ranked Adelaide Lightning (8-3) defeated on the road bottom-ranked Sydney Uni Flames (1-11) 73-56 on Saturday. Adelaide Lightning looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American forward Kylee Shook (193-1998, college: Louisville) scored 20 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international forward Stephanie Talbot (188-1994) chipped in 7 points, 8 rebounds and 11 assists during the contest. The former international point guard Shyla Heal (167-2001) responded with 24 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international forward Keely Froling (188-1996, college: SMU) scored 14 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Adelaide Lightning have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 8-3 record having five points less than leader Melbourne. Sydney Uni Flames lost sixth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 11 games lost. Adelaide Lightning will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
