Undefeated Nationals (0-1) recorded its first loss in Crows Nest. Visitors were edged by top-ranked North Bears (1-0) 65-62. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Emily Simons (178-1994, college: Pacific) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Kate Seebohm (170-1991, college: California, PA) contributed with 13 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four North Bears players scored in double figures. Guard Lizzy Tonks (173, college: CSUN) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Kristen Langhorn (179-1986) added 14 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Nationals. North Bears left bottom position moving up to third place in League. Nationals at the other side still closes the standings with one game lost.
