Very significant was Lightning's (#6) just 3-point road victory against 4th placed Goldfields G. in League. Goldfields G. was very close to get their first win. But it seems they have to wait a little bit longer. Lightning forced 26 Goldfields G. turnovers. Strangely Goldfields G. outrebounded Lightning 55-37 including a 20-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. Guard Caitlyn Jones (175-2001, college: Idaho) nailed 21 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and Ruby Benn accounted for 18 points and 5 assists. American forward Danielle McCray (185-93, college: Ole Miss) came up with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Jemma Gatti (175) added 9 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for Goldfields G. in the defeat. Lightning (1-0) left bottom position moving up to third place in League. Goldfields G. at the other side still closes the standings with one game lost.
