We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams in Morley where twelfth ranked Eagles (1-2) beat bottom-ranked Goldfields G. (0-2) 78-62 on Saturday. Eagles forced 22 Goldfields G. turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a great evening for American forward Maria Blazejewski (185-1991, college: LSSU) who led her team to a victory scoring 26 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists (made all of her nine free throws !!!). Jorjah Smith (173) helped adding 19 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. At the losing side swingman Emma Klasztorny (180-1994) responded with 24 points and 8 rebounds and American forward Danielle McCray (185-1993, college: Ole Miss) scored 16 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Eagles left bottom position moving up to tenth place in League. Loser Goldfields G. still closes the standings with two games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
