There was an upset in Seaford where higher ranked Sabres (3-2) were rolled over by fifteenth ranked Frankston Blues (2-2) 81-57 on Sunday. Frankston Blues looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Sabres' players. It was a great evening for the former international forward Darcee Garbin (188-1994) who led her team to a victory scoring 17 points and 5 rebounds. International guard Tessa Lavey (172-1993) helped adding 11 points and 8 assists. Five Frankston Blues players scored in double figures. Forward Georgia Pineau (185-1997, college: Boston Coll.) responded with 20 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Amy ONeill (170-1996, college: SFC) scored 8 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Sabres' coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Frankston Blues moved-up to twelfth place in League. Loser Sabres dropped to the eighth position with two games lost. Frankston Blues will meet at home higher ranked Falcons (#10) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sabres will play against Lady Braves and will have a slim chance for a victory.
