Regular Season Round 19: Knox R. - Nunawading S. 64-69

Everything went according to plan in Wantirna South where sixth ranked Spectres (7-2) beat 9th ranked Knox Raiders (5-5) 69-64 on Saturday. American guard Cassidy Mihalko (180-1995, college: CBU) fired 23 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals (made all of her ten free throws !!!) for the winners. The former international guard Rachel Antoniadou (175-1996, college: FSU) chipped in 22 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Alicia Froling (190-1996, college: SMU) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds and forward Klara Wischer (185-1991, college: San Diego) added 14 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Spectres maintains sixth place in League with 7-2 record. Loser Knox Raiders dropped to the eleventh position with five games lost. Spectres will meet at home league's leader Mount Gambier Pioneers in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Knox Raiders will play against Falcons (#9) in Mount Waverley and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
