Regular Season Round 10: Sharks - Tuatara 77-89
Date: July 1, 2022
There was no surprise in Southland where 10th ranked Sharks (3-9) were defeated by second ranked Huskies (9-5) 89-77 on Friday. Huskies outrebounded Sharks 43-30 including a 37-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American guard Siler Schneider (191-1995, college: UC Davis, agency: One Motive Sports) scored 28 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international forward Robert Loe (211-1991, college: St.Louis) chipped in 17 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Schneider is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side American guard Daishon Knight (185-1991, college: Illinois St., agency: BIG) responded with 26 points and 5 assists and his fellow American import forward Winston Shepard (203-1993, college: SDSU, agency: Slash Sports) scored 8 points and 12 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Sharks' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Huskies keep a position of league leader. Loser Sharks stay at the bottom place with nine games lost. Huskies will meet at home Rams (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. Sharks will play against the league's second-placed Giants in Stoke and hope to secure a win.
