Regular Season Round 11: Jets - Bulls 83-99

Rather expected game when 8th ranked Jets (5-8) lost to sixth ranked Bulls (7-6) in Palmerston North 83-99 on Thursday. Bulls forced 20 Jets turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for the former international guard Corey Webster (188-1988, college: Lambuth) who led the winners and scored 34 points (!!!) and 6 assists. Power forward Anzac Rissetto (208-2001, college: Charlotte) accounted for 14 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side. Four Bulls players scored in double figures. American-Jordanian forward Zane Najdawi (201-1996, college: Citadel) came up with 28 points and 7 rebounds and American forward Robert Crawford (198-1990, college: Cent Arkansas) added 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Jets in the defeat. Jets' coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Bulls moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Hawks. Loser Jets keep the eighth position with eight games lost. They share it with Saints. Bulls will meet at home Hawks (#5) in the next round. Jets will play against Nuggets in Dunedin and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
